Borrowing
How home loans and bonds work
A home loan is repaid over a long term. The bond is the security registered over the property. The bank's yes is not this page's yes.

Credit reports and scores in South Africa
A credit bureau keeps a record of your agreements. A score is that bureau's model. It is not a single national number.

Medical aid, gap cover and health insurance
A medical scheme, a gap policy and a health-insurance policy are three products. A lower premium does not make them equivalent.

Understanding tax-free savings accounts

Retirement planning in South Africa
A pension fund, a provident fund, a retirement annuity and a preservation fund are all retirement money. They are not an emergency fund, and a two-pot withdrawal is not a salary.

Learn how the product works in South Africa, what it can cost, and which risks matter.
02
Compare the details
Review the features, eligibility and fees that are published. A missing figure stays blank.
03
Check the information
See the source, the date it was checked, and what this website has not verified.
04
Research the provider
Read the profile, then check the register that matches the activity.

Common questions about WiT Money
Is WiT Money free to use?
Yes. Reading these pages and using the calculators does not cost you anything. No referral agreement is active in this build.
How does WiT Money make money?
No provider is paying for a placement here. If that changes, the arrangement will be explained and a paid row will be labelled. Comparisons that are published are ordered by name unless a labelled commercial row is added later.
Does WiT Money provide personalised financial advice?
No. The pages are general information. A personal recommendation under the FAIS Act has to come from an authorised provider who has looked at your situation.
How can I compare financial products in South Africa?
Choose a category, read what the product costs and who can apply, then use a calculator with figures you enter. A rate that has not been checked is left off the page.
How can I check whether a provider is registered?
Use the register that matches the activity. Credit providers sit with the National Credit Regulator, many financial services with the FSCA, banks with the South African Reserve Bank, and medical schemes with the Council for Medical Schemes. A profile on this website is not that check.
Does WiT Money compare every provider in the market?
No. A page explains the product and lists a provider only where a record has been checked. An empty comparison means the rate or fee has not been published here.
