How these calculators work
Each result is worked out in your browser from the figures you type. WiT Money does not store the salary, debt or medical amounts you enter. A result is an illustration. It is not a loan quote, a tax assessment, an insurance quotation or a forecast of investment returns.
Income tax, VAT, transfer duty, medical scheme fees tax credits, tax-free investment limits and retirement contribution deductions use the 2027 year of assessment stored in one tax file. Those figures were checked against the Budget 2026 tax guide on 29 October 2026. A year that is not in the file is not guessed. Employee UIF uses the R17 712 monthly ceiling SARS still publishes. Conveyancing tariffs are not in that file, so the transfer calculator asks you for the attorney amount.
